About dockets
The Kansas Court of Appeals reserves certain dates each year on which to consider cases. When the Court of Appeals schedules a case to be considered, it puts the case on a docket.
The Court of Appeals sits in panels of three judges at locations throughout the state, including the court's primary courtroom in the Kansas Judicial Center in Topeka. Each three-judge panel will take up 18 appeals over a two-day period every month.
The Court of Appeals may schedule special settings as needed.
